We had another great stay at Palace resorts. This was our first stay at the Sun Palace, and we Loved it. The people that work there made our stay feel special. We stayed in the concierge level and had a beautiful ocean view with a spotless room. Food was great, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was unique for a couples visit.
We usually visit the Sun Palace in October, knowing they were closing down we went in February for a short trip but had the itch to go and be there before they closed for renovations so we booked June 8 – 15th so we could be there the final night. If you read our previous reviews we keep saying each trip was better than the last, this one topped them all!
From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with hugs from Nancy at the Member’s Desk (even though we aren’t members) and salutations from Erik at the front desk. Erik personally upgraded our room (totally unexpected) and Alexis got us through the check-in process quickly. Before we knew it, Samuel once again helped us get our bags to the room, and we loved what we saw!
I’m going to start with Breakfast as the staff may shine EVERYWHERE with the cozumel taxi tour suggestions, but during this week, EVERYONE was a superstar! From being greeted by giant hugs and smiles from Frescia and Guadalupe to having Mauricio and Jorge remembering our drink orders from our visits in the past, the service was AMAZING! Jesus continually walked around to make sure our glasses were full even if we weren’t in his section, thank you! Efrain was always coming by to make sure everything was good, it most certainly was!
We spent most of our time at the pool this time, Enedino was always there to make sure our glasses weren’t empty, and Olivero was still tending to us at the pool bar! Couldn’t have asked for a better time as the pool had plenty of chairs and we met so many beautiful people! We shared so many laughs with people all over the world!
Entertainment was great as always. We LOVE poker with Jayro! Let me repeat, We LOVE poker with Jayro! Every night we shared an hour with Jayro, and it was one of the highlights of the day!
We really enjoyed Italian, Steak and Mexican for dinner. Yasid and Jenny were great at Italian! Mario was also tremendous in providing us a pleasant surprise one night! Megan was so gracious greeting us at Steak, remembering us from trips past. Thank you for the stay.
