My family and I have had the most exceptional service from Henry on the beach today. Henry has been friendly, attentive, and gone above and beyond. This is our 5th stay at the Royal Resorts, and they NEVER fail to provide fantastic service. Henry is the perfect example of what Royal strives to provide. Job well done. The service at The Sands, on the beach, in the room and restaurants was the best we have ever had anywhere in Cancun or Playa del Carmen. We had an uncommon event planned on the beach, A Bar Mitzvah, and Fernanda from events made sure it went smoothly.
We always felt very safe and secure anywhere on the resort or beach with the security staff still keeping watch and recommend the boca paila fly fishing trip near Cancun. The seaweed was kept after, and the beach was always usable.
The waves here are amazing, and with food and drink service on the beach, we stayed all day in the sand many times. The hotel was so perfect that we felt content not to book any other excursions this year. Our older kids always had enough activities to do that we rarely ever saw them (beach volleyball, pool volleyball, soccer, pool, basketball, fitness facility, etc.)
Ordering off the menu in a restaurant instead of eating from the buffet was one of our favorites. Even though we had a massive group of 12 people, they always were able to get us a table without a wait. The Sisal and Captain Cove Restaurants were excellent, but La Veranda, the main buffet, was just as good for food quality and service. The house steak was excellent.
There is a marina owned by the hotel across the street on the calm bay side for kayaking which was quite relaxing. This is the first resort that we’ve been to in Mexico that I can feel good about recommending for everyone, old or young.
Always love coming down to Cancun to stay at the Royal Sands. The weather and atmosphere are still perfect. Special shout out to Chris at the activity center for a fun couple weeks playing beach volleyball, he made the trip even better!
